How does one commit suicide with a gun, yet the FBI never reported a gun being found at the location where the body was found?

Rumour is that Laundrie's parents might be charged. Could be Federal.
I'm trying to think under what Florida statute it might be. Beyond lying to obstruct an investigation.

Law enforcement in this case was about effective as boobs on a nun
Lots of people are suspicious of the whole thing. Unless there were paranna in the water where he was at, there should of been flesh left. Apparently the bones were stripped clean of meat like chicken wings at a BLM meeting.
