Beretta Tomcat 3032 Cracked Frame after 100 rounds!

Post by armedpolak »

I purchased a brand spanking new Beretta Tomcat 3032 yesterday. Took it to the range today with my son and after little over 100 of S&B 73gr FMJ the gun jams HARD and is unable to eject nor the slide goes all the way back. Now I’ve read about those guns having cracking issues IN THE PAST and figured brand new would be fine… I got it to be a suppressor host eventually.

Called the gun shop and they told me to call Beretta. Great. I’ll contact them tonight.

Had anyone else had this issue? It looks like filing down the top of this metal bar would make it work again but I’m not a gunsmith. Also this totally shattered my confidence in this gun and Beretta in general. I planned to also CCW this thing.

Now what?

Yes very thin. I think this whole bar could be filed down and the trigger part inside it thickened but would then ride against the bottom of the flat part of the slide.

I contacted Beretta; I'm awaiting a response. In the meantime I found this (stating max muzzle energy cannot exceed 130 ft/lbs; I was shooting 73gr S&B ammo rated at 177 ft/lbs from 4" barrel): https://berettausa.custhelp.com/app/ans ... /a_id/1048
