Is this normal appearance for a M&P shield brand new?

I just bought this gun today brand new today from a reputable chain store.
After initial strip and clean I looked at the barrel it looks like it’s had hundreds of rounds through it. Lol. Is this normal. ?

I cleaned more with some gun solvent. It looks a bit a bit better now. But the shiny feed ramp and rings around the circumference of the barrel took me back a bit.
Not sure if it’s factory fired, there’s no spent shell/ envelope in the box like the old days.

Bring it back to the store and jack them them up about lying that it's new in box....that wear, especially on those rear frame slides

It cleaned up good. And it shoots good. I was just taken back by the barrel ring marks, ain’t seen those on a new gun before, more so that it wasn’t a display model. The display mode was the one with safety which I didn’t buy.
