Meanwhile, here in Florida it (like open carry) is DOA every year, notwithstanding a GOP State House, State Senate and Governorship.

Why can we not get either/or/both of these passed with a GOP supermajority? Does GOA have a take on the answer Miami_JBT ?

The western part is particularly beautiful. But all of it is absolutely cold AF in the winter. I mean I lived in Michigan for 4 years as young man, that was fine. But a Montana winter at my age (60)? Hell no.

Montana was like 180 below zero last week! They have glaciers! A whole park of them! And the devil has his own tower there!

Then again, they did get rid of that idiot Custer... :)

Put it this way: If you go alongside a field to piss, you'll be pissing icicles.

Also, you'll walk bent forward, depending where you have to go, because of the wind. Otherwise, I'd be heading there, too.
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a Single Star.

Cold doesn’t bother me at all. Heat does. Florida is still a great state, but I have been attracted to Montana for ever.

I was there from May of '81 to Sept of '82.
If you get there at the right time of year you have time to acclimate.
But there are exceptions, I got a phone call from my 1st Sgt telling me
to go door to door to let everybody know that noone should go outside
that day. Temps were -60° with wind chill of -101°.
Never going back there again.
