Havent posted in a bit. We bought a 100 w lasrer to add some variety and I’m now doing a fusion of hand engraved and laser engraved. Here’s the first gun out of the laser before hand cutting the scrollwork love the fact the color is in the metal not painted or dyed

Sweep, what happens to the colors on say an old lever action color case hardened. When you use your laser engraver? Does that steel make for better/more unique look?

Not sure ? case hardened metal would be burnt away leaving the bare metal under it then the
(power/freq/speed settings )would anneal whatever bare metal to the resulting look of those settings
Keep in mind the steel needs to be stainless or chrome moly to produce colors
