i dont know what to say. the only colt i ever used was the one issued to me in basic training. once i got to my unit my M4 was FN. other than that ive never had any interest in the company.

Didn't they do this before when they had contracts and told the civilian market to piss off?

When they lost the contracts they opened the retail market again.
They wanted too much for a pony on a lower, the colt marketing dept didn't get it.

All this aside, the other side is they are instituting black rifle gun control to civilians under some bullshit story.

Yeah, but the 6920 might have been the most cost effective "known quantity." Sadly this is typical of Colt.

Read that it's only temporary and supposedly for a 60 day period to be able to fill a contract order, typical of a manufacture who supplies military equipment.
