Changing sights and factory triggers

Somewhere in my memory a red flag was waiving.
If you had sight replacement equipment and tools to change out stock gun triggers with factory competition triggers... and you do it for profit for other people..
That in itself is gunsmithing and could land you in hot water?

answered your own question, didn't ya
add assembling an AR for other into that mix, sure you can help out your buddy, but if something goes wrong watch how fast your PAL turns on you and if there is a wrongful death lawsuit ...you wish you hadn't played gunsmith

Changing sights might not ever cause a serious problem - discounting poor results.
But messing with someone else's trigger as an amateur gunsmiths (without liability insurance) can cost you plenty these days.
With everyone wanting to blame everyone else for everything.
I really miss the old USA.
