BallotPedia - Florida Ban on Military-Style Firearms and Disqualifications for Firearm Possession Initiative (2020)

Has this any possibility of passing? OMG! All the $$$ I spent to move down here, and now I'll have to move again???

Well, what were there--14 state Constitutional Amendment up last month? All but one passed. And it would be a Presidential election with massive turnout. So, yes, it is possible. I think the chances are against it, but not terribly so.

Another vague law with the sinister aim to make us bow down at the feet of the state.
You can’t fix the institutional failures of our current form of government. That means we will have another domestic war.
And I was so hoping to retire in peace in 2050...

Anti-gunner wish list. Too many issues with the way it is written. Never pass constitutional muster. My Ruger Single 10 22LR revolver would be banned under this proposal. So would my Marlin Model 60 22LR. However just reading this proposal would give most anti-gunners an orgasm.

There's your problem with a lot of these stupid laws. A good machinist can do most anything with a gun. A bolt action is ok, they may say. Say, you have an 03 A3. Two words: "Pederson device." Capable of accepting a high capacity magazine? I have seen ads for 27 round magazines for 1911s. Ridiculous, as they extend more than a foot out of the grip; some handgun. They can ban anything that way. Are they stupid, or dumb like a fox?

The magazine number suggests it was written by someone from New York or copying asscuomo's* law: the NY law is 7 rounds.

A revolver is ok, some may say. Wait until the people who are ignorant but still want to tell others what to do see, or more importantly, hear Jerry Miculek firing a revolver.

*What's an "asscuomo" you may ask? Sort of like a dingleberry.

"The measure would also prohibit persons from possessing any firearm if the person had (a) been convicted of a felony; (b) been convicted of three or more misdemeanors; (c) his or her driver's license revoked for driving under the influence, reckless driving, or excessive speeding; (d) been subject to two or more domestic abuse emergency calls or investigations; (e) been diagnosed by a medical professional as psychologically disturbed; or (f) made any substantiated threat of violence against another person."

^^This is all the shit they hide behind "Military Assault Weapons". Lots of unrelated and open to interpretation stuff there.

I think it's getting close to feeding the tree of liberty. These attacks against AMERICANS are just to gain power. History has shown that you must first disarm the population.
