Any Experience With 7 Round Speedloaders?

Post by GreyShark »

I have an old 686 I'm thinking about sending in to get tightened up and maybe fitted with a 7 shot cylinder while we're at it but I've heard from a couple people that for some reason 7 round speedloaders are hard to use. Anybody try these in real life? What's your experience been?

Have you considered selling the revolver and buying a seven shot 686?

I have a 986 w seven shot moon clips that is a blast! Not speed loaders but the seven shot moon clips are a hoot to shoot.

I’ve used the HKS 7 round speedloaders on both my 686 Plus and my Ruger Talo GP100 seven shot. I’ve never had any issues with either. They function just the same as a 6 shot HKS speedloader.
