Just read that Jimmy Buffet has passed away. I loved his music. May he rest in peace.

Stepped on a pop top and blew out his flip flop one to many times.

I saw him at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando in 1978. It was a fantastic concert. Jimmy had his leg in a cast and preformed on a stool.

By all accounts a good guy, too. RIP.

30 + years ago after my left hand went into a steel bladed fan blade on a 6 cyl. Ford motor,I was wheeled in for one of many surgeries on hand and the nurses had Jimmy Buffet cranked up in the operating room. I made a comment and they said they all loved him and were going to an upcoming concert in Orlando, been a Buffet fan since then. As i'm sitting here with my hawaiian shirt on,LOL....RIP Jimmy..

He anonymously donated two of his airplanes, a Grumman Goose and a Boeing Stearman, to the Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, AL last year.

He seemed like a descent guy even if his political views were opposite of mine. I didn't, like some I know, hate him for it. And like the lyrics of A Pirate Looks at Forty say, he really was a pirate "200 years too late."

RIP Jimmy.

I have always loved his music. I just got back from the bahamas and stayed at margaritaville in Nassau. Friday night we had dinner at his restaurant. It was sad to wake up and hear this news. RIP

shame he morphed into one of those 'rich men north of Richmond'. He was a dedicated lefty, supporting hillary for President, and that crack head Andrew Gillum for FL Governor. He was a big financial supporter of biden, and an avowed anti Trump activist. Screw him.

Ask your boating buddies what they think of his Save the Manatee efforts.
