The role of the police is not and has never been to "enforce the law".
They are the elite's militia and their role is to protect their bosses and the status quo.
It is sad that despite daily evidence of the contrary, most Americans still believe that "law enforcement" is there to protect them.
Regardless of one's adherence to the flag code, the idea that the police stands for the flag, the constitution or this country is simply laughable.

As an amateur vexillologist, they are defacing the flag. But defacing isn't a negative term. It simply means to change, modify, alter. The US Flag isn't being harmed since an actual flag isn't damaged or altered. I have a problem with defacing our flag. I do not agree with the blue stripe on it. Lets make a whole new flag instead of altering Old Glory.

The TBL Flag is inspired by the US Flag. No different than the US Yacht Ensign.
In this case, the Canton (Union) by the Hoist (left side) was defaced with a different design. The Fly (Stripes) are the same.

Enforcing a law when no one has been harmed and no one's rights have been violated was called "unreasonable and overzealous law enforcement" by our founding fathers. Every citizen of the land of liberty is supposed to be above the law, as long as they refrain from doing anything that harms others or violates the rights of others.
