Ian and insurance adjusters

Other hurricanes just did the clean up and replaced a few screens and never made a claim. This time I have way too much damage and have filed a claim, insurance adjuster is suppose to stop by. Looking for opinions on whether it's best to go thru just insurance company or get a private adjuster and if so any recommendations on a good private adjuster. Thanks for any help and or recommendations.

I'm doing the same... I'm having the roofing company come up with an estimate 1st before I trigger my insurance.. high ish deductible...

Filed a claim after a few days and have the insurance adjuster coming Monday. Any recommendations on roofers? Had a couple of company's stop by but have made no commitments. Looks like I am in for a learning experience on this mess.
