Accu-Wedge

Post by Outgunu »

Just built up an Palmetto Arms lower for a upper I've had laying around and the fit is a bit loose. Was thinking about getting a Accu-wedge to tighten it up. Anyone have thoughts on Accu-wedges?

They are unnecessary although if you want one, then go for it.

I've used them on extremely sloppily-fitting upper/lower combinations. As stated above, they're unnecessary for function and accuracy. However, they work better than a foam earplug, and they do minimize the annoying rattles between the upper and lower and between your ears. 😏

You should have bought a lower that has the tensioning screw built into it, Aero comes mind. As for the wedge, I have one in my cleaning kit and would rather it stay in the cleaning kit.

I saw a Utube where they used hot glue, and it worked way better than an accuwedge.
