Not my fish - we watched a guy fight this monster for over a half hour on the beach at the Gasparilla lighthouse yesterday. Quick pic, then a successful release complete with a face-filling splash of the tail.

....and some rin up hill and down dale, knapping the chucky stanes to pieces wi' hammers, like sae mony road-makers run daft - they say it is to see how the warld was made!

Wow, that is amazing. Such a monster fish so close to the beach.

They had a local guide with them who had paddled the bait way offshore with a kayak, out to the channel dropoff where the tournament boats fish for tarpon. He had several hundred yards of line out when it hit.
