F$$king doctors

Post by Ger42 »

I had a stress test in Aug. Two weeks ago during an annual Physical at my Primary Care doctor said I had an irregular Heart beat ab had me go to my cardiologist and get a 24 hr HR monitor.
My Primary Care doctor's office called today with the results of the HR monitor and the Aug stress test. I am suffering from Premature Ventricular Contractions.
Cardiologist never told me in Aug and still hasn't gotten back to me about the 24 HR test results.

In 2012 I had a hole in my heart plugged it was found only because my PC would not release me from the hospital until they found out why my Cat Scan showed major differences from one done in 2005. Cardiologist did a TEE and found the hole.

My PC is Dr Morris Epstein with out him I'd be dead or bedridden.

Half the doctors seem way to busy with high patient loads to even begin to care about you these days.

Most likely the reason you didn't hear from the Cardiologist is because your PC sent you to the Cardiologist for the tests. In that case the Cardiologist would send the results to your PC. Since he would be the one doing the follow-up with you since he ordered the tests.
Nothing unusual, just a normal chain of command type of thing. The Dr. who orders the tests usually does the follow-up, not the Dr. who does the tests. Most times the Specialist Dr. doing the tests doesn't know why the tests were ordered by another Dr. and telling you the results without the other Dr.'s permission could cause problems for the Dr.'s and the patient.

My stress test in Aug was the result of my annual visit to the cardiologist. I had a follow up visit the week following the test He gave me the results of the stress test and the echocardiogram that was done at the same time. He never mentioned PVC my PC got the report after he asked for it last week his nurse says PVC was in the report they got. The PC"s nurse was surprised the cardiologist had not given me the results of the HR monitor. My PC gave me the choice to see the cardiologist about the results or have an appt with him so it's off to my PC.

Hope everything works out for you. That's a scary situation right there. You must be extremely proactive in your own medical care. Most doctors only care about the money.

I’ve already made up my mind that I’ll die without the “help” of modern medicine.
It has been common knowledge for some years now that many tests ordered by doctors are a racket to keep you paying them.
Hospitals are the third leading cause of premature death in the U.S., behind heart disease and cancer.

My Ex neighbor doctor said when working the emergency room he always ordered every test remotely necessary for the patients symptoms. His way to dodge a possible lawsuit.
