A homeowner in Georgia turned the tables on three masked suspects early Monday morning, shooting and killing all of them when they tried to rob him on his front lawn, reports said.
The melee kicked off at about 4 a.m. when the suspects — two 16-year-olds and one 15-year-old — approached the man and two other people in front of his house in Conyers, a suburb of Atlanta in Rockdale County, ABC News reported.
One of the suspects apparently pulled a handgun during the robbery attempt and fired several shots, according to the report.
The homeowner then opened fire with his own gun and shot all three of the suspects. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were declared dead at a local hospital, the report added.
“It could be a ‘stand your ground’ type case, based on the preliminary [information] that we have learned so far,” Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett said, according to the report.
A neighbor told local television station WSB-TV that the man who lives in the house is a truck driver who owns a semi-automatic rifle.
Another witness told the news station he heard a volley of gunfire that sounded like a rifle.
“It was five shots and then it sounded like a handgun. Then I heard somebody have an assault rifle. And it was a slew of shots that came out,” the neighbor, Carlos Watson, told the station.
The man’s name has not been released.
....and some rin up hill and down dale, knapping the chucky stanes to pieces wi' hammers, like sae mony road-makers run daft - they say it is to see how the warld was made! Saint Ronan's Well - Sir Walter Scott, Bart. (1824)
What people don't seem to understand Is that the 2nd isn't about need and we have to stop justifying it on those terms and allowing the left to set the frame of the argument. The 2nd is about parity and that very much means "weapons of war" for exactly the reasons we see today, people like Robert Francis. The militia isn't the National Guard, it's every man able to heft a rifle. Get it right and stop letting them control the language and argument.
"The essential American soul is hard, isolate, stoic, and a killer. It has never yet melted."
It's still a great story, even if you would have chosen a different title for the post.

Correct. The militia even back to the Revolutionary War was any citizen who was willing to take up arms against a tyrannical government
Unfortunately the weak minded will always change things to the way they see it in order to make it better for them. I don't mean to derail the thread but am using abortion as an example. In many states, abortion can be done up to and including after birth, regardless if it is to save the mother. They tell each other it is just a group of cells or a parasite, so they can get rid of what they don't want. In their eyes, they don't see the need of an Ar-15 for hunting, as that is ridiculous and that is how they can rationalize for not having one. They can then change our amendments because it doesn't suit them. We are dealing with, for the lack of a better term, pure evil. As we all know, if we don't agree with them, we are the evil that needs to be changed.
