Looking for a fun SBR. Not looking to spend a ton of money. So if you already had .22lr, 9m and 556 covered, what would you be looking to do? Am thinking about a tac14 12 ga but not really sure. Just looking for ideas at this point. Actually thinking about glock 17.... or 308.
I think a mare's leg in .44 magnum would be a hoot.

I'm in the middle of a 300BLK pistol project. I started out thinking I wanted to see how cheap I could build it, but I have shifted focus and now aiming for short and light. Currently it's 20.25" long and weighs right at 4#4oz (2 kilos for our Brexit boi).
....and some rin up hill and down dale, knapping the chucky stanes to pieces wi' hammers, like sae mony road-makers run daft - they say it is to see how the warld was made!

With the new braces they have out no need to SBR anything really. Just get the braced version of whatever you want

Not always able to do that. If they don't make it as a pistol, you can't do it. I have an old Colt AR in 9mm that I want to SBR to use my LRM upper with. I slap a brace on that and I'm fuxcored.
E filed to cut my Colt 9mm to 10 1/2 inches. It took just 15 days to get approval.
Sent it to ADCO to cut. Whole process took a month and cost with stamp and shipping was $400.00.
Well worth it.

with all the 10.5 barrels on the market, why have it cut ??
sure if you wanna try and look cool

Cutting the barrel was either way. No right or wrong. I didn't need a 2nd or spare barrel as this was strictly going to be used as a competitive USPSA PCC gun. I could argue either way.
just wondering, I cut a 16 inch 9mm barrel down to 8.5 for my DOE build, because no one sold a 8.5 at the time I did it.
