How do you mark reloaded cases ?

Post by screenerglenn »

I'm reloading 6.5 creedmoor and want to keep track of the number of times fired. A marker or paint would come off in the tumbler and I'm reluctant to scratch the case. How do you do it ?

Like Rent said, load in batches.
I just load a couple 100 and shoot them up and use an index card with load info to keep track.

I use a triangular Swiss file to make a very small notch on the back side of the rim to indicate each time I reload the case.
I do this on black powder cartridge cases, like the 577/450 Martini Henry.
