heres the thing, General Washington, at the end of the War GAVE the troops and the artillerymen the weapons they wielded to defend their homes and country.

if you look at the letter of the constitution for your state (even florida has it), it says clearly -

every able bodied citizen between ages 15 and 65? i think it is? MUST have a gun, shot, and powder and regularly train to use it, to be ready at any time to repel tyranny or a foreign invader;/

this doesnt sound like a repel criminal law. its an armed to the teeth and count them afterwards law.

the more, the merrier. if some criminal wants to harm me, my family or my neighbors, thats their own doing, not my problem what happens to them at my hand if they are doing harm.....
