Concerning the problem of deleting private messages, I just created a brand new forum on one of my domains and the error wasn't present. Over the weekend, I will try something, but it will require me to shut down the forum. I will try to do this at a less problematic time for you guys. I'll keep you posted but if the forum isn't available, it is because I am working on it.

I'm hoping someone here went yesterday (first day it was open) and would post first impressions.

I think I'm going to wait it out a bit.

I saw a video from opening day and it looks like a very nice facility. I have to work this weekend so I can’t go, hoping to make reservations for the following weekend. I have a few rifles that need to be sighted in after getting new scopes and mounts.

I went today!

Liked it very much. A bit disappointed that there is no prone rifle shooting allowed. All bench shooting. I'll get over it. ;) I had actually never shot from a bench before.

The staff was professional and very nice, including the RSOs. Great job by everyone there.

The facility is FIRST CLASS. Very nice.

I spent the whole time at the 100 yard range. Zeroed my new Primary Arms 5X Prism scope on my SCAR-16. Great scope for the money!

Then I shot my Ruger Precision Rifle 6.5CM. Ten 5-shot groups all sub-MOA, with three of the groups in the 1/2-MOA range. 8-)

I ended up spending about 3 hours there! It was a good day... It had been almost 3 months since I've had some trigger time!

Awesome, thanks for the update and pics. I have reservations for tomorrow am. How strict are they for the one hour limit? No prone sucks for sure! Another thing I didnt like was it took 10 attempts over two hours to get through on the phones. I actually got so pissed I drove over there. They wouldnt let me make reservations in person. I called while at the gate and finally got through.

Yep... I called on Friday (same day) and it took MANY tries to get through to a person. All I got was the automated phone company recording that they have not set up a voicemail box.

They won't even let you past the main entrance without a reservation. They've got a guy there checking.

I stayed for 3 hours! So, no... they only boot you after one hour if there are people waiting. The RSO said that he would just cycle off the shooter who was there the longest, if they were full and a new person showed up. Nobody got booted. We were never at capacity. So, they are cool about that. 8-)

No prone really does suck... but, at least the benches are rock-solid and bolted to the floor. I had actually never shot from a bench before. Its a very different dynamic. Recoil management is a very different matter than when you're prone. The rifle moves a lot more. I still shot well!

If you go to the 100-yard rifle range, when you're ready, ask for a qualification target. You have to get 3 out of 5 shots in a 6-inch target at 100 yards to "qualify" for the 200 and 300 yard ranges, if you plan on going to those in the future.

After I dialed in the zero on my new scope on the SCAR-16 (right target), I shot the "qualification" target on the left:

Awesome thanks for the response!!! This will be an awesome facility once everything is done and operating at full capacity. Very nice less than 10 minutes from my front door!
Great looking targets. Im bringing two to get sighted in..a Tikka in 6.5 and one of my ARs I rebarreled into a RECCE/RECON build. SHould be fun!
