Melbourne show 29 & 30

Post by Gregg »

Just got home.
Was crowded earlier this morning, but as normal, the crowd thinned out after lunch.
Ammo prices are crazy high, due to all the unrest (aka looting and burning) going on in the Democratic Paradise cities.
Many of the big ammo dealers have much reduced stock, some of the smaller ammo sellers are all but sold out.
Handguns are available, at upped prices, popular models are in short supply, but there are deals to be found.
Still, lots of people buying, background checks were averaging 45 minutes to an hour.
The cheapest AR-15's I saw were in the $650 to $700 range, and only up from there.
Reloading supplies are also expensive, primers are going for $35 to $40 per 1000, powder is running $25 to $35 per pound.
BUT, there are a couple tables selling off old reloading supplies and equipment, saw many good deals on brass, cast bullets and reloading tools.
Lots of non firearm related tables :>((
Next show October 3 & 4.

Cheapest primers were $43.00 with tax
PJs had some (No SP) for $53.00 with tax otherwise higher.

PJs limited ammo purchases to 250 rounds per person and 200 (10 boxes for 223)

It was Sandyhook times all over again.

Expect prices which were 30-25% higher over last show to jump that much again at the Oct 3/4 show
90% sold out by the end
