Best outdoor ranges near Tampa?

Post by MiamiOffshore »

While visiting Tampa I'm going to teach a relative to shoot. She has hearing aids. Thus an indoor range is out. I'm looking for a good outdoor range, hopefully not too busy, where I can juggling explaining safe firearms use to a person with hearing aids who will be wearing hearing protection. Can you hear the excitement in my voice??

Why couldn’t she leave the hearing aids out and use electronic muffs?

FWIW, I wear hearing aids and have no issues in indoor ranges.

Because she's going to need a LOT of instruction...

Yes, as I thought. Depending on the severity of her loss the muffs should allow enough gain for speech yet peak at the threshold of loud sounds. Hope she does well and you’re a good man to help her. Mav.
