Are the carbide cannons they make today worth a damn?

They used to be pretty heavy duty but I am talking like almost 50 years ago. Are the current versions lightweight crap?

I still have my dad's from when he was alot younger. Thing is a monster. (Built like one, not in size). I can't imagine the new ones are worth their salt.

I remember those cannons as a kid. Loved them as a kid they were a blast :lol:

I've got a small black powder cannon now. Thing is LOUD :P
