I inherited a few thousand rds of this and some more of the brown box Norinco ammo. I remember seeing this in 1200 rd wooden crates. I always heard this was some pretty good ammo and hot back in the day. Any truth to this. I found it in sealed ammo cans that were stored in an air conditioned room. In the HOUSE my wife inherited when he passed. After my bil passed. It looks brand new no tarnish on brass and boxes in perfect condition.

The smell of it brought back alot of fond memories :(

I remember it back in the day it went for 100.00 bucks a case and gun stores (FFL) had pallets of it

I also got a Springfield Armory M6 Scout is a .22 Hornet over .410 in mint condition with carry bag.

Got a bunch of yellow box 9mm. It seemed like good stuff.

Been a while. But may want to check primers. Corrosive or something

shot 30+ cases of it back in the day when I got into class 3 guns and taught classes. Good stuff in line with NATO

I would be careful with that stuff.

Back in early 90's I used to shoot that in my Mini-14. Yellow box with the non corrosive primer label. It was so cheap why I used it.

Short version is it corroded my barrel to the extent that at 25yds I was lucky to put rounds on target.

Rifle got sent back to Ruger under warranty and they replaced the barrel.

Since that incident, never shot it again and always check bulk ammo that claims a non corrosive primer.

Just my experience.

Thanks for that info. I'll be sure to clean my barrels thoroughly after using it. ;)
