Air Force… This is why we cannot have nice things. It would appear that a Security Forces Airman is about to have a bad weekend. We can already see the mandatory 12 hour shifts and weekend duty coming down from supervision after the airman ND’d the Saw into the clearing barrel. Not just 1 round but a burst.
Luckily for those involved that clearing barrel is rated up to .50 cal and was able to catch most of the rounds.
According to the video this took place at Kapaun Air Station located south of Frankfurt. No much info was given whether or not the airman was disciplined or the extent of the damage. All we get is the video which high lights why the Air Force is the butt of other branches jokes.
For those thinking we’re jumping on the Air Force bashing bandwagon. I was Air Force, Its all part of the fun. We hope supervision didn’t come down too hard on the airman and that he learned from his mistake or the weapon’s malfunction. Its hard to tell what happened without context.
