Count your blessings, we got very lucky with this one.
If we got hit directly it would have been catastrophic.

We got very, very stupidly lucky. This could have been another Andrew, or hell even a Katrina, if it hit us.

Well, at least during preparation my storage closet got cleaned out of all the crap I don't need. And I found out the regulator on my emergency propane stove was bad, so that's all fixed up now.
