Conceal Carry In Florida Summer

Post by JonathanW »

How do you guys conceal Carry during the hot season?

Is anyone able to carry a full size gun comfortably? Or is the sub compacts the only good option ?

Glock 19 appendix in Remora holster.

23/7/365.

My everyday wear is jeans and a t shirt with a tank top underneath.

Gun at 1:00 between tank and T.

The only time I dont have that is when I go to the gym and that's when I put my LCP in my front pocket for an hour.

For over 10 years I carried a 1911 Government model pistol + a spare mag every day in a Milt Sparks Summer Special holster. I wore mostly Levi's jeans or cargo shorts and over-sized tee shirt. Nobody ever noticed the pistol. Now days I usually carry a "J" frame 38 Special or Glock 26 in my pocket.

Undershirt + AIWB + dark over shirt for every "season" here in this sunny hellhole.

If it's "cold" enough, I'll wear a jacket as well to cover the AIWB better but for the most part I usually just wear loose black t-shirts.

Pocket Carry is the best option for me. Cargo pants with huge pockets and lots of practice drawing it out (unloaded). My favorites are either a S&W Shield, with the safety so I don't blow off my balls, or a old Colt Magnum Carry when I feel like a wheel gun, or my trusty old Colt Pony. All with a pocket carry holster. Perfect for me!
Ah that's one thing about our Flame, doesn't play any favorites! Flame hates everybody!
