Without reading the entire 27 CFR on Firearms, what are the regulations regarding moving tax stamp items? These are currently on a Firearms Trust, which was written in FL. Moving to Colorado to be closer to the grandchild. Anyone with insightful information would be appreciated. Thanks,

Steve

You need to complete & submit Form 20 to ATF in duplicate. Here's the most up to date version:
https://www.atf.gov/firearms/docs/form/ ... l-firearms
Once ATF approves, you'll get a signed copy back, which you'll need to have with you while transporting the items.

Check Colorado's laws to make sure everything you're taking with you is legal there.
Although Form 20 is not required to transport suppressors, it's best to include them on the Form 20, so you have the ATF's blessing. This could be important while in transport, in the event you have an encounter with a LEO who is not up to speed on NFA - at least you'll have their "permission slip" with the suppressor(s) listed on it.

Yes. Colorado was once a very gun friendly state, but is steadily moving Commie due to CA influx, so beware. You may want to find a gun forum covering out there where perhaps you can be directed to resources directed to (or a lawyer versed in) such things.

Thanks guys. No issues in Colorado for SBR's or suppressors. Now 30 rounds mags are another issue.
