Re: JTS m12ak

Picked up one of these from Palmetto State Armory for $299. For what it is, cannot beat that price. Ran 70 rounds thru it to break it in yesterday. Had a few failures to feed with lower velocity stuff, but ran fine with shells over 1250+fps. The few ftf's I put down to being brand new and I did not ...

Sow down

Hey Guys, Got another hog over the weekend with the 450. 80-100lb sow. Shot was about 135-140yds. Shot impacted just below her left ear. I was out checking for hogs and was getting ready to wrap for the evening when this sounder of 4 showed up on my thermal monocular. In the attached vid, hogs are t...

Re: Extra magazines for semi autos

I always carry a spare mag. I subscribe to the theory of better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

Re: Boar hog with Bushy

BBL,

Havent had any of the meat yet, only harvested the backstraps from this hog, didnt have time to take more. He was not smelly like some hogs this size sometimes are. Will let you know how the straps came out.

Boar hog with Bushy

Got this boar hog yesterday morning. He had been tearing up the 400yd line at club and needed to be taken out. Got up at 5:30 am, got dressed and was about to head to McD's when decided to do one last scan with night vision. At about ~240yds out I see this bugger rooting up 400yd line. Grabbed heari...

Re: AR10 Aero Precision M5 Build question(s)

MiamiO,

I went and did a little research on high/low receivers and it seems to deal with the rail height on receiver vs the handguard rail. Just an FYI.

Re: AR10 Aero Precision M5 Build question(s)

MiamiO. I believe the Aero uses the DPMS pattern and so does the PSA brand, so technically they should interchange. Can't answer if the PSA ar10 kits are good for $, but based on some of their stuff I own, I would say good to go. My Aero M5 is built around 6.5Creedmoor, no complaints on reliability ...

AR Thumper

I have a 450 Bushmaster. Hunt hogs with it. Not really a range gun other than for load testing. Not your normal AR, it does have substantial recoil, and does not hit like a 5.56/.223 at all. It is equipped with a AR Stoner muzzle brake to tame the recoil. Right now I shoot 250gr bullets at 2230fps t...

Re: Red dot sight in??

Dave, Are you using Grendel mags? I use mostly ASC mags, but also have an Alexander Arms, no issues for me. Grendel requires a different follower config. Yes, still competing, just not F-Class only, branched out to jacket and sling and ATC. I am also club management now, so you know how that goes. SY

Re: Red dot sight in??

Hey Dave,

Are you using a standard AR trigger? Not one of the match types.
