Re: Getting to a mile(1760yds)

Bagman, You should post the difference in comeups needed shooting in Raton, NM vs here in Fl. Eyeopening the difference needed to get out there. Buddy from my 300winmag post recently went the Milk Jug challenge in Utah, elev 6500ft asl. The difference needed to get to a mile was 10moa less than he n...

Re: Shockwave or Tac14?

I got 1 of the Tac14 hardwood models with the 5+1 capacity on a whim. It is a lot of fun to shoot. Recoil is not as bad as it would seem, your arms not your shoulder absorb all the recoil. Have put up to 3in magnum rounds thru it and found it controllable. Shot a water jug with a Brenneke bear slug ...

Getting to a mile(1760yds)

I had posted before that I was going to attempt to shoot a mile with my 300WinMag. Shooting a 208gr bullet doing 2940fps, will be subsonic at mile shooting at sea level. Things needed to be done to get to one mile: 1: 20MOA rail on rifle. 2: Burris XTR adjustable rings(I set this at +30moa) Rifle wa...

Re: AR pistols in WMAs that prohibit rifles?

FlCracker,
Good info.

Question, do you think an FWC officer would actually know what constitutes an AR pistol? And does your pistol have just the buffer tube or one of the new 'braces'?

Curious, because I have an AR 'pistol' also.

Re: Excellent 2 stage triggers for your black rifle

i will second the Gunny's opinion.

I have one in my 6.5Creedmoor gasser. Makes it easy to make shots out to 1000yds.

Very crisp and repeatable break.

I have almost 500 rounds down range on this trigger. No complaints.

Re: Ruger American in 270

Decent rifle for what you want it for. Agreed that scope is way overkill.

Scopewise, decent choices available in the 1-8x, 2-7x or 3-9x range. Leupold, Nikon, Vortex to name a few.

Let us know how it works out.

Re: I've got a bad feeling about this Florida election

For now.

Those to be regain voting rights will make a difference in future elections.

But that is in the future, now is time to take a breath and have a cold one.

I went also this morning. In and out less than 15 min. Was not packed, but was steady, maybe 50% while I was in.

Re: 300WinMag

Here is promised vid of rifle with muzzle brake installed. Another slow motion vid. This was shot from bench, so the apparent recoil is more pronounced, but in actuality, I could probably shoot this all day long. Vid also shows the disturbance around the shooter caused by a muzzle brake, pay attn to...
