Re: Walmart getting wobbly on gun rights?

There are days I just want to scream. Why can't we get the message to sink in that CRIMINALS do not play by the rules. You will note the almost immediate cries for gun control before the six cops shot in Philly were even treated in the hospital. But also note how quickly the concern for the police e...

Re: U-Pick auto yard Fort Lauderdale

Last time I used a upick there was a very minor entrance fee. They usually post some sort of inventory for you to see what they are offering but they will let you wander the yard. It changes fairly often. Usually have to provide your own tools. You can't bring acetylene torch etc. They use a fork tr...

Re: Remington 742 mag suggestion

I do believe the magazines from the pump guns (series 760,7600 etc.) and the model six are interchangeable with the auto loaders. Just make sure you get the long action version. I picked up a 10 round mag from BassPro for a pump and remember being surprised the wrapper claimed it fir both. Granted i...

Re: Non-threadworthy Video Thread

Age is not a barrier to self defense. I guess the moral of the story is don't pick a fight with a man who has been in a real fight and is willing to commit himself to winning.

Re: John Paul Stevens

Can't undo his positions on the court but thank goodness he was retired when he was advocating the repeal of the second amendment. I'm not real concerned about the two recent appointments. I don't expect to agree with everything but I expect they will tend to be conservative. That is about all we ca...

Re: New Zealand gun ban meets with massive non-compliance

Why do so many people believe there is no national registry in the US? If the feds can track the ownership of firearms used in a crime through multiple owners, there is a registry. Consider the simply idea of tracking any brand or model by consecutive serial numbers. Every new firearm went through t...

Re: 6 Arizona Police Officers Were Asked To Leave Starbucks Because Customer ‘Did Not Feel Safe’

This is indicative of the success the left has had demonizing the police. The issue isn't whether it was handled correctly, IT NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED!!!! This also plays into the I'm afraid of guns so you leave yours at home idea. This person hit a twofer. Police openly carry/display guns and I ...

Re: Scot Peterson arrested for inaction at Parkland

What is scary is that if this is allowed to stand it will create an entire new standard nationwide. Will police now be required to jump into lakes, canals etc to save drowning persons? Can anyone prove a POSSIBLE outcome beyond a reasonable doubt? Can anyone prove there would have been a different o...

Re: How Effective is .22 For Home Defense

People who are experts talk about shot placement and effectiveness of the round. May I offer the thought that the purpose is home/self defense for people who are not experts and perhaps not very familiar with firearms. Quality 22LR is very reliable and actually very effective. it makes the appropria...

Re: 8 GOP Congressmen vote with Dems for "gun control"--3 are from FL

Actually, I worry a bit about the idea of requiring background check to buy ammo. That opens a whole new can of worms. they want to also regulate how much ammo you can buy and how often. I know I'm getting old but I remember buying 22LR for 50 cents a box at every gas station in the county.
