Concerning the problem of deleting private messages, I just created a brand new forum on one of my domains and the error wasn't present. Over the weekend, I will try something, but it will require me to shut down the forum. I will try to do this at a less problematic time for you guys. I'll keep you posted but if the forum isn't available, it is because I am working on it.

Re: First Time Hunting

See if you can find somebody in your area who will let you tag along. You can't learn hunting on TV or watching computer...you gotta get out and just do it. When you put some time into and actually doing it then it starts tocome together. The big problem in South FL is finding a place to go out and ...

Re: Woods carry

Yes, I shot a 3' water moccasin from about 4 feet and it was very effective and didn't need a second shot. I also shot a 5' 6" rattlesnake from about 4 feet but it was hard to tell as a 308 rifle round hit him in the head at same time. IMHO the 38 special and 44 snakeshots are effective on medium si...

Re: PCC thread

I thought about PCC for long time as an ideal car/travel gun. I looked as Beretta, Kel-Tec, CZ, etc. but I wanted a 9mm AR pistol as I'm familiar with AR family of weapons. However it seemed everybody who had one was complaining about lack of reliability. Finally I decided to get a 223/5.56 caliber ...

Re: Got Hog?

Meatloaf is easy and really tasty (I like to add some bacon to the hog when grinding it up). I cook it on the grill together with roast on indirect heat. Thing about wild hog is that you have to eat it right after it's cooked while still hot or warm. If you let it get cold it gets hard and chewey. I...

Re: Woods carry

I have been carrying this "handgun" occasionally and it's been working out well. Sorta between pistol and rifle. I thought it was going to be just a noise maker but it has proven to be effective tool.

Re: Woods carry

I spend a lot time in the woods hunting and working...I think 80+ days a year. When hunting in the woods I always carry a long gun and a handgun and when working in the woods I just carry a handgun. For past couple years the handgun I carry all the time is a lightweight 2" S&W J frame in 38 special ...
