Re: Polar on Nexflix

Keanu Reeves (John Wick) had serious training on shooting and gun handling, with some top shootists.
Did the actors in Polar do that, too?

Re: The NRA shitstorm

Every successful organization seems to be eventually high-jacked.
Wounded Warriors
Greenpeace,
And now the NRA.
Sooner or later, some sharpie con men notice the size of the coffers and figure out how to help themselves.

Re: Extra magazines for semi autos

A lot depends on the mag capacity. My first pistol had a mag capacity of 17. If that wasn't enough, more rounds probably wouldn't matter. I did carry one more in case of a mag problem, though. One of the quickest ways to deal with a malfunction is to simply change mags and rack the slide. You do pra...

Re: Need 1911 mechanic

Quite awhile ago, Tom at Guntalk was interviewing the head honcho at Rock Island. He said the older 1911s did have a number of quality control issues. He finally hired a 1911 expert to straighten things out. And apparently the newer ones run just fine. But the earlier ones with problems might need m...

Re: Any thoughts on new Ruger Wrangler?

It looks like an excellent way to practice sixgun handling and shooting, without spending a lot of money.

Re: War Memorial Aud. done with gun shows

It's not only expensive to get in most gun shows.
it's a shame that vendor space has become too expensive to allow the private seller to participate.
That was the fun part and reason for going to shows for me.
I haven't been to a show in years.
Buying online has completely replaced them.

Thanks for the info.
Best of luck with your new store.
When I have my reloading gear up and running again, I'll no doubt drop by.

Re: Suppressor ready 45acp ammo

Sounds like the ammo version of the new improved anti-freeze.
More water, less anti-freeze.
Less powder, lower velocity.

Re: Anyone carry pepper spray in their cars? Just 'cause

Yes, there's one in every driver car door side pocket.
Gotta' be sure the direction of the wind if used.
If not it could be like shooting oneself in the foot.

Re: So is anyone going to the Wanenmacher's Tulsa Gun Show

If I was ever in the neighborhood, It would definitely be on the agenda.
Otherwise, for less cost than the trip to get there, there's plenty of ways to spend money on neat stuff right here.
