Re: NFA Wait Times

So it's looking like Form 4's done electronically are taking about 9 months.

Has anyone recently had one approved in significantly less time?

There was also a pretty cool pump action AR which still retained the use of the charging handle, but as it has a pistol grip, don't know how it would affect legality in more restrictive areas.

Re: Parts Kits and Projects Picture Thread!

The mini was tricky. I've only done them with center repair sections, never 100% from cut scraps. Probably doable but I'm not the best welder. I have some repair sections too! :D Like I said, I accumulated way too many pieces and parts years ago and never got around to doing anything with them. Let...

Curious, what did it feel like getting it back? Was it like welcoming home the prodigal son, or was it a kind of "meh" feeling? Did you lose any money in the transaction?

https://i.imgur.com/fbPVOCV.jpg Hey Norinco Kid, I have several UZI receiver pieces that I've been hoping to turn into full receivers (both full and mini). Actually, I probably have more than I need. I don't suppose you'd be willing to let me visit so you could give me some welding lessons eh? I co...

I saw a gun I sold 5 years ago at the Miami gun show.

Here's a weird experience. I went to the Miami gun show (the one in Tamiami Park) Saturday and while looking through the used guns at a pawn shop's table, I spotted a Llama 45 that I sold back in 2017. It was actually one of three pistols I sold that day to a dealer, two Llamas and a Taurus PT99 (no...

Re: NFA Wait Times

So it looks like these times are all over the place. Is there any consensus? Are some things taking longer than others? Form 1s are much quicker-usually 14-30ish days. Form 4s done on eform are 260ish and Form 4s done on paper were running about a year. Hmmm. Makes sense. I guess working on those e...

Re: Damn I'm Freezing

I prefer sweating to shivering Have it your way, but like Gunsandhoses said, you can bundle up in the cold (not that it's even all that cold), but there's only so much clothing you can take off in the heat and remain within norms of decency. I'll only add, that the only thing that feels as good as ...

Re: Damn I'm Freezing

I'm loving the cooler weather. It hit 47 degrees last night here in Miami and today it's in the mid fifties. It's good to be able to leave the house and walk outside without getting heatstroke. The cooler weather is one of the things I really enjoyed during my time in the Atlanta area.
