I wonder when the newly appointed SOE will have to face an election? Broward voters can at least enjoy some credibility until then.
Then the county would probably vote snipes back in

Hopefully she will only add another layer of bureaucracy to the process so that she can say she did something "to ensure that background checks were completed". Agree with Tector. Stepping stone position for her. As a politician, it will likely just be high on talk and low on actual accomp...

Re: German Shepherds and Home Insurance Providers
Say it’s not a GSD. Problem solved. Was just wondering myself, is it a pure bred GSD, or is it a lab cross? Even the shelters adopt out tons of "lab-crosses" every year. Either way, training and time fix most things canine, so always a good idea regardless. Insurance issues vary by carr...

They're going to keep counting in Broward until Gore wins the presidency.

Re: FL voter registration trends
If we had open primaries, NPA would probably jump from 3rd place to first place.
Which is probably why we don't have open primaries.

Thanks for this thread. I have been waffling on this for a few years now. I'll add it to my list of repairs.

Re: Senate Race
We all should be thinking this way. We could be having one more seat on the bench coming open before 2020.

Re: FL voter registration trends
We are looking at 13.3 million registered voters in FL, but a predicted turnout of only 51.8%.
That is ridiculous that we even consider that anything other than embarrassingly low turnout.
13.3 registered is still only about 75% of otherwise eligible (including non-registered) voters.
