Re: 80% receiver update
Well here’s a win/win situation that should make everyone happy. For those who buy a kit genuinely for the satisfaction of assembling it, & not because it’s a loophole to get a firearm without the 4473, this is for you. A gun you can assemble, & get all the satisfaction of assembling it, bu...

Joe Biden’s Ghost Gun ‘Ban’ Lasted Less Than A Minute https://thefederalist.com/2022/09/01/joe-bidens-ghost-gun-ban-lasted-less-than-a-minute/ Turned out to be a "nothingburger." So, now frames and jigs have to be sold separately. Already online merchants are selling the frames (now calle...

Re: New expansion of PBC Range
They finally got it done? I remember going to a meeting at least ten years ago and they were voting on funding a study to evaluate the cost. Yep. And as we speak, they're wrapping up paving the road out there! A few spots pending. I took some pics when I ran a "recon" mission last Saturda...

Re: 80% receiver update
In the mean time, many of us builders stocked up on 80% frames. I'm trying lol, but I'm so broke I can't even pay attention. I've seen the panic emails from some AR and AK 80% sellers, but nothing "panic" about other stuff...like tubes (SMG) or flats (HK) I haven't paid too much attention...

Re: 80% receiver update
They’re not going away, you’ll just have to fill out the 4473 now, & it will have a serial number. So for an enthusiast, you’ll still build your own creation. But does anyone honestly think sales will continue at the same rate once this law takes effect? GARY It's not a law. It's a rule. An unc...

Re: 80% receiver update
Just last week at a gun show working for Ira, a guy was looking at some used mags Ira had accumulated over the decades, & was selling. He had one of those 80% Glock look alikes, & was asking if we had Glock mags. We sold all the genuine ones, so I showed him the Glock copies. He said “those...

Re: 80% receiver update
Meanwhile I’m still trying to figure out why a 80% unserialized receiver doesn’t cost 20% less than a 100% serialized receiver. Many times the 80% receiver costs 50%-100% more than the 100% receiver. Since there’s less machining steps, & no ATF paperwork, they should cost less than a complete r...

Re: New expansion of PBC Range
So...what's up with the Range Nazis? More than a few negative reviews... I was there today. I've been going since they opened. But, I was curious about the negative reviews, so I went to check them out. I suspect these folks who posted the negative reviews are simply not familiar with range e...

Re: Best OTF Knife?
I got a microtech troodon a few months ago. It's been clipped in my pocket ever since (displacing a substantial collection of Spydercos - for the time being).
