Re: $8 Background Check?
Alright, I'll do the story now, minus the shop name, and get some opinions- maybe it's me, I can be a bit New York sometimes... I'd really like to hear from Rent and the other folks on the other side of the counter. Bought a 'Black Friday' deal online at a local shop's site. Got an email that it was...

Re: $8 Background Check?
The state charges dealers a flat $5 rate it does have a cap that the maximum amount you can charge for a background check is $8 Look at it however you want but you're paying an extra $3 for the transfer under the guise of a background check fee to the shop..... We only collect $5 but sometime after...

$8 Background Check?
Spoke to a shop, they want an $8 background check fee... Hasn't it always been $5? Did something go up? They trying to hide a couple of bucks profit in the call? I asked and they said it's always been $8, but that guy could have been working at Publix yesterday... Also, can stamps at $205? <Not an x...

She clearly rose out of nothing and garnered a lot of attention. Getting eyes on you is the criteria and it seems like she met the requirements.

Re: Miramar Shootout
Let's Monday morning QB this... I have 4 points to decide a path. Interested in the boards opinions. 2 guys in a stolen UPS truck, presumably armed, with the driver as a hostage. Decision point #1- Do you pursue? Only until air support arrives? Vehicle stopped due to traffic, may or may not be disab...

Re: George Zimmerman sues everyone but the Baby Jesus
And Zippy should be working at McDonald's to support himself? Let's back things up a bit before we get too far down the track... George Zimmerman was a neighborhood watch member who saw something that he thought was suspicious and reported it to police. Police did not seem too interested, or in a hu...

What happens if you buy a can, and the shop closes?
I was in a shop the other day and a guy was there picking up a suppressor. He said it was 5 months for approval... Got me thinking, lots of places in that plaza have come and gone. What happens if ATF approval has a longer wait than a stores shelf life?
