Re: U.S. gun rights 20 years from now? (Poll) [take 2]

I see a much reduced influence of the federal government. Stronger states, with very different laws on most everything. Maybe even with each having individual banking and currency. Sooner or later the Feds insane spending and destruction of the money system will become obvious to even the truest bel...

Re: How Effective is .22 For Home Defense

Another reason for considering a .22 for home defense is the huge difference in in possible hearing damage from having to shoot one, vs a centerfire indoors.

Re: How Effective is .22 For Home Defense

More important than the choice of caliber is the know how for using it for self defense.
In the right hands a .22 would do just fine.
But without suitable training, even a bazooka wouldn't help.

Re: Where's the post about the guy in Commiefornia? 1000 guns seized

Once upon a time I was real sorry to have to leave California.
Not now.
It's getting to be like pre ww2 Germany.

Re: The importance of drop-safe weapons...

It's not surprising one of those little deringers would fire a round if it fell and landed on the hammer.
Especially if it were a rimfire caliber.
I once had two of those little beasts, .22 and .38.
But when I carried them, it wasn't in a pocket but a proper little leather holster.

Re: The importance of drop-safe weapons...

The first rule of gun handling is not drop yer gun. Can't imagine how useful it would have been anyway. Especially being buried in her purse. Ever seen the inside of a woman's purse? There's a good chance she was rooting around in her purse and pulled the trigger. Then claimed, Who Me, it went off a...

The world is getting too complicated.
Gotta' wonder, too on what they were thinking.

Re: The NRA shitstorm

The first thing that should be done, is to recharter in a gun friendly state, and dump New York.
Eh, how did the NRA get to be in NY.
Last I checked they were in Virginia.

Re: Any other 1911 addicts here?

I've only had three 1911s.
Two Colts (38 super and a .45 Gold Cup) and two Springfields (.45acp GI and MIlspec).
All 70s series.
One of these days, I intend to get a 9mm version.
And that should do it for the duration.
