Re: .45 suppressor on 9mm question
It's not really possible to answer that question perfectly as it will always depend on the suppressor, the ammo and the gun you're using. That being said, I will chime in with something. Several years ago I was on a suppressor forum and Thompson Machine offered up a special on a limited run of a var...

Re: Used Car Buying in Fla
Back in June, I had to help my dad buy a car. I tried several dealerships, it's just not worth it. We ended up finding a private sale for an older car with horrible paint but really low mileage. We paid cash and then spent about $1.5K in needed repairs and he's now got a reliable functional car with...

Re: Requesting info on Central FL gun shows
I believe there is one this weekend (1/13-14/24) at the Central FL Fairgrounds. Actually, it looks like it's next week. My plans to make it to the last one got torpedoed at the last minute so I wish I'd known about this one earlier so I could have planned it out a bit. I may still try to make it th...

Re: Breaking News: WLP Resigns!
I may have posted about this before, but my biggest worry continues to be about the museum. I'm FB friends with a guy that worked there until the COVID closures and he says several display items have been removed. The museum regularly gets a lot of bequeaths from wills of collectors who thought they...

Re: Miami gun show now $17 to get in
I've had pretty good luck at the used guns lots at shows, but it's hit and miss. I actually saw a couple of sort-of bargains today, but nothing that compelled me to buy. I may try to hit a northern Florida show later this month as I'm going to be there for work anyway.

Re: Miami gun show now $17 to get in
Wow, I didn't know they charged for parking now. That's nuts. Yeah, for at least a couple of years. But I think the venue added that. I believe you are correct, the parking fee is collected by the venue as they charge it for other events, not just the gun show. Also, it did start a few years ago, i...

Not to mention you now have to pay $5 to park at the fairground.
I used to say that the show at the fairgrounds had three things I liked: free parking, good parking, and actual parking (as opposed to when they used to have it a Coconut Grove). Now they're down to one out of three.

Re: MAK90 Mod
My barrel looks kind of strange. The entire barrel has very fine threading front to back. No thread protector, offset device, no nothing except front site. For a MAK 90, I'd say that's not threading, just machining marks. Those didn't come with the smoothest machining where you ended up with a nice...

Re: The are seeking gun permits like crazy in Israel now
I'm glad more Israelis are looking to defend themselves. It was beyond me why a country where pretty much everyone has had to go through military service and which is constantly under threat from its immediate neighbors and random people on the street didn't already have universal gun ownership. All...
