Re: Solvent Traps... a wink wink nod nod silencers?!?

Constructive possession is a real thing as it applies to AOW's, SBR's, SBS's, DD's, and MG's. If you have a combination of parts that can be only be assembled into one of the above configurations, then constructive possession applies. Silencers are a different story in that any single silencer compo...

I get really tired of people telling me what not to do for my own safety.

I like to make my own choice.

Fine......as long as "your choice" doesn't affect the health/safety of others...

Re: Picked up a Beretta M9A3

They are very nice pistols.....Shoot Str8 had a smoking deal on them and the threaded 92's with suppressor-height sights a while ago.....don't know if it's still going on.

Re: So I want a suppressor...

Can I buy a suppressor from an individual in FL? Say I want a .22 can, say you have one in your trust or on form 1? 4? (the individual one). can I file e-form for transfer, pay the tax, get the stamp, then show it to you along with cash for the can and we both go our separate ways? or does a transf...

Re: So I want a suppressor...

41(P) had nothing to do with an executive order.....it was an ATF rule change that started due to lobbying by groups for eliminating the CLEO sign off requirement. I'm no expert in NFA. I mostly know to stay away. Sorry if I editorialized history- in my head that is how it happened. Here is a link ...

Re: So I want a suppressor...

A lot of folks are out of date. Obama executive order, post Newtown shooting- fingerprints now required for a transfer to trust (used to be only individual), but removed chief law enforcement officer (cleo) signoff requirement. Basically an effort making both processes more similar. What did it hav...

Re: Is a stripped AR lower a gun?

All this is due to the lawyers trying to get a guy off that was finishing up 80% unserialized lowers in California.....

The best case scenario is that the lower remains the only controlled part ("the firearm") on AR style rifles......

Re: Is a stripped AR lower a gun?

As long as I cant have one shipped to my door, and am required to fill out a 4473 it, might as well be.

If the lower isn't, then some other part is.....

Re: Police Arresting People For Their Full-Auto GLOCK Switch Purchases From China

I thought possession of FA parts was completely legal, you just cannot actually use them. They have to prove intent. That's some Minority Report bs. IF it requires modification of the gun to use them (like drilling the third hole in an AR), then yes. Having the part is okay (as drilling the hole wo...

Re: AOW vs. Non-AOW?

I'm aware of the 26" rule...so why doesn't Remington just slap a birdshead grip on it (to get it over 26") and sell it like the Tac-14? Wondering who their market is for the AOW units... Law Enforcement......and anyone who doesn't want to hold their shotgun like Bama Mc Call in "Gator" when they fi...
