Re: Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Park

Just came back with Cubanstang from there and boy we left impressed with the progress, it’s going to be one of the nicest ranges in the world, I think by June will be ready but the 100 and 200 yards could be ready sooner but at the beginning will only open on the weekends because of the constructio...

Re: Other than Markham and the Sheriffs ranges...

I was told that it goes way beyond finishing the bathrooms there before opening. They have to complete a water treatment facility now on the premises and they have not even secured a contractors bid for that. Lol. It is going to be a long time before it opens. Don't forget that PBC is a very liberal...

Re: Anybody ever have their AR optic go down while in use?

BUIS are simply contingency IF your primary optic ever failed and nothing more. If your optic isn't on a QD mount, they are worthless unless it's a red dot and you are able to cowitness through it. You can use canted BUIS if that's a concern. Most people put them on to complete the look but in reali...

Re: What's the advantage to building vs buying?

Nothing wrong with building one but requires special tools if done right. Plan on keeping it because they are hard to sell to anyone competent in the firearms industry. People are not looking for home built ARs unless they dont know better. Home builds have a reputation for a hodgepodge of cheap/mis...

Re: Should I Red Locktite my buffer tube???

I don't remember the brand name of the tube but I got it together with the SOB's SB brace when they first came out. I guess it could be SOB brand tube but don't know for sure. The tube only has the "stop" with no way to use locking nut or castle nut and no way to stake the tube. The brace...

Re: Should I Red Locktite my buffer tube???

The problem is that my tube does not use lock nut as the tube shoulders itself on the receiver. The end of threading has a large shoulder to which the tube tightens to the receiver. There is no locking nut and I can not stake the tube. I tighten the tube with the strap wrench originally and recentl...
