Re: First Time Hunting

You'll need to be prepared to deal with hot and wet weather to hunt S. FL.
Mosquitos and other biting insects will be thick too.

Re: Got Hog?

How much salt and vinegar????? I tried it once, changing out the water and ice daily, for 4 days, and it came out horribly salty and putrid smelling when I cooked it. My frying pan still stinks of it. My typical hogs are about 80 lb with skin, head and internals removed. In a 150qt ice chest I add ...

Re: Applying for US Citizenship

Congrats! My family and I went through it back in 1977.
Just curious, how much does it cost to apply for citizenship now days? Back in 1977
I think it was $49 or $59 per person.

Re: Movie Pass is crashing

I haven't been to a movie for years...I think last time was when 007 Casino Royal came out.
My wife takes kids to movies 2 or 3 times a year with their friends for a weekend get together.
My wife and I usually watch a movie or two on cable TV each month but that's about it.

Re: Got Hog?

Do you guys do any special prep before cooking hog? I think the key to good tasting hog meat is to kill it quickly with CNS shot so it doesn't build up hormones, adreline, etc. and get it cleaned and on ice ASAP. I try to kill it, clean it and get it on ice within 2 hours and I usually get it done w...

Re: Scope mount

There is a lot that can go wrong when mounting a scope. A good quality scope deserves a great quality scope mount and rings. Most problems I've seen and encountered were with cheap poorly made mount and/or rings. I've also seen more problems with 2 piece mounts than with 1 piece...I guess more piece...

Re: Went to Comcast today & returned all my stuff

I just switched our service from AT&T to Comcast last week. We had AT&T for past 5+ years and it was always POS. We would regularly get our connection cut for no reason for 5-10 minutes couple times a day. When it rains a lot we would loose service for hours at a time. We've been complaining...

I'm all for it for those who want it.... I'm just probably not one of them.
I want the right to do it...not that I will do it.

Re: Ruger gp 100 match champion

I had the GP's Grandfather the Security Six. Great gun. My son still has it. Yes, a 2 3/4" Ruger Security Six was my first handgun too. Got it in 1979 from Ace Air Conditioning and Supplies for $179 and that included a box of Remington ammo. Loved that revolver but hated that little wood grip....
