Sen. Murkowski Flipped - Will vote to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barret

I saw on FNC this morning that Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R- AK) has changed her mind and will vote to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barret in tomorrow's vote. Very Innnnnnnnnnnnteresting! I had heard a rumor that Gov. Sarah Palin "incentivized" her to vote to confirm, by threatening to run against her in the 2...

Re: How this been posted yet. Website has mass database of all Trump donors personal info and calls them racists, libel?

Last night during the debate I got 27 phone calls from a number with a 242 area code. Looked area code it was from Bahamas. I'd answer nothing. Hang up and 3 to 5 mins. Later another call. Block number and they used a different number with same area code. Now you guys know me. I'm a really calm coo...

I voted... (in 2020)

Starting a thread to gain reports on your experience at the polling place. Of course, you need not state for whom you voted. I'm just curious as to the conditions you found when you arrived to the voting place (or mail in drop off). I voted this morning at 9:15am. There was no line on the outside wh...

I carry on Tri Rail between Palm Beach, & Miami. Never saw a sign that said I couldn’t. GARY.
Tri-Rail is not Amtrak. It's the "South Florida Regional Transportation Authority." The policy is for Amtrak pax. & trains. Now, maybe the RTA has a policy and maybe it doesn't. I don't know.

Looks like the doddering Susan Collins will not.
Then she should plan for her "early retirement" in 2022. Same for Murkowski if she does the same.

Re: Carry on AMTRAK

Can you carry on AMTRAK? I see information saying I must declare firearms and have them locked inside checked baggage. There is no mention of CCW. Anyone dealt with this issue before. The hypothetical travel would be entirely inside the State of Florida. No, you can't. Firearms are prohibited in th...

Re: How's ACB doing (in the hearings)?

Update: I'm starting to feel better about her. I'm watching her spar with Dick Durban and she's definitely holding her own. Apparenly she issued a disent where she felt (in the Ricky Cantor case) that she felt it unfair to discriminate against "non-violent" felons, not necessarily "all" fellons. Hmm...

How's ACB doing (in the hearings)?

Thought I'd start a thread about her progress in the Senate Hearings. How do you think she's doing? I did see some banner signs on FNC today that may have caused a little concern, and I wanted to clarify them. I saw where she is quoted as saying, "The Heller decision leaves open some room for additi...

Re: So, do we have the numbers?

Florida was pretty much a blue state last presidential election. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns this year. I thought FL was a red state in 2016. Trump (R) got the electoral votes from FL. DeSantis (R) was voted governor. Rick Scott & Marco Rubio are both (R) Although sometimes it doesn't seem ...

Re: So, do we have the numbers?

Another thing to consider is how many people are registered but never vote. I, and most people my age, was nearly forced to register during high school. That is a huge number of mostly Dem registered voters. However, what percentage of those people actually vote prior to age 35 or 40? Of those that...
