Re: Scam Gun Shops

"We can ship to your address" should be the giant red flag in that can of worms. AD Yep, if decide to Dale Gribble beyond that point, it's your fault as much as theirs. They just informed you that they are talking about violating federal firearm laws. It's kinda like unregisteredmachineguns.com

Re: Jeff Cooper opines on the Beretta M9's adoption. Or, how he shows he was just a curmudgeon.

Cooper was a genius. He wasn't against DA/SA and did well with any combat revolver. And while he did have a bias in favor of the .45 to the 9mm, he also thought the HK P7 was a brilliant 9mm if you HAD to carry a 9mm. He wasn't right about everything, he wasn't wrong about everything and it was most...

Yeah good to go. The ironic thing is there being a law saying you can't sell it out of Florida.

Re: A Floridian For 31 Years

Prior to Miami Vice days South Beach was known as God's waiting room. Area was full of elderly northerners who came to the warm weather to wait out their days. We moved to North Miami in '69 when I was 12 from San Juan PR (thats another story in itself, I'm not Puerto Rican). Rug is absolutely corr...

Re: Confirming FFL for Online Sale?

Sold an 870 on Gunbroker. Buyer is asking me to ship to his "FFL", which is an Army/Navy Store. No indication on their website that they buy/sell firearms. He indicates they won't provide a copy of their FFL to a non-licensee (e.g. - "It's not needed for a non-licensee"). Sooo...how do I know I'm s...

Re: WHEN CALIFORNIA WAS ONCE HOME TO SOME OF AMERICA'S MOST TALENTED GUNSMITHS.

CA was once second only to NY as the largest importers of firearms. Best thing about the magazine Small Arms Review was their historical piece on the owners of Golden State Arms Division and things like that. Thanks for helping keep that history alive. But now that I think about it, shouldn't it wor...

Re: MASSAD AYOOB'S FAVORITES, THE RUGER P-SERIES IN .45 ACP

After competing alongside Massad for many years, watching those guys with their tactical costumes and their $3,000+ race guns get humiliated by a scrawny old man with a $300 Ruger never gets old! "It aint the arrow, its the Indian!" True, but I still hate that damn gun. Love Ruger wheelguns, hate m...

Re: How to Verify Military Service

This guy enlisted at 14 and was a MOH winner at 17. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacklyn_H._Lucas But these are the exceptions, very well known exceptions. Typically you can ferret out military service with as few as six questions. What was your MOS? When and where did you serve? The easiest ones a...

Re: Private Indoor Home Gun Range | Luxury Shooting

Trophy room was nice. Had a few goober guns. WTF was that "no stock" belt fed semi about? Anyway, if you got that kind of money, you can build a playground. But back in the 1950s my dad and his brother used to shoot 30.06 in the basement. Sure it was loud as F and you had to open the windows. Sure i...
