God Bless America! /:f Yeah that's definitely the coolest cop I've ever seen. He should be promoted. [smilie=cheers1.gif] [smilie=pdt_xtremez_30.gif]

And I was under the impression if the cop ask you to ID yourself you have to comply. Or is that just in CA that you don't have to comply ?

I don't quite get the unloaded open carry ?? Carrying an unloaded gun is like sitting in your Ferrari without any gas in it and pretending you are driving. :ham'r
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

When cops tend to act like douchebags, we tend to reciprocate. Good for the cop, wish more were like him

Now that was funny!!! The gentlemen was within is rights, but I think it very rude to not give my name to anyone who asks with any grace. Perhaps he was ashamed of that his behaviour did not elicit the response he wanted??

IIRC there's some goofy provision for it in Cali law that makes it (amazingly enough!) legal there if unloaded.

Cudos to the officer for his knowledge, professionalism and courtesy.

I think the officer was spot-on with his assessment that the guy filming had an agenda and was just looking for attention. IMO made the officer look good and the open carry guy look childish.

Wonder how this would have gone without a camera running the whole time, in plain view.

Sure did. One marine to another and "Jeremy" couldn't say his last name? Scadueche.
