Three suspects dead, another injured after Houston homeowner opens fire during break-in

A home invasion in East Houston early Saturday turned fatal when the homeowner opened fire on the intruders, killing three suspects and injuring another, according to police.

The homeowner, who was not injured in the incident, told authorities he’d been acting in self-defense when he reached for his gun and shot at the four men as they forced their way inside his home around 1 a.m., KHOU reported.

When police arrived on the scene, they found one of the alleged suspects dead outside the front of the home while the remaining suspects fled the from scene immediately following the gunfire.

Authorities said that of the four people shot, one of them died on the scene while another two died at the hospital. A fourth was in surgery later Saturday morning.

The Homeowner has been taken to the Houston Police Department headquarters for questioning.

I only read what was quoted here, but the fourth was in surgery, so he still has a chance at 4 for 4.

Houston, TX – A Texas homeowner shot and killed three men and injured two others with a AK-47 during a home invasion when the men reportedly tried to break into the residence at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
They were 5 in fact. I'd say he should not worry about being charged.
