Look at the bottom of the article: "Update 27-4-2015, this appears to be a story from 2012 and the import has been blocked by the Obama administration. Sorry folks!"

Articles like this leave me incredibly disappointed. When was the last time a crime was committed with a Garand? The part that really bums me out is there has to be an absolute mountain of ammunition sitting there as well... will we see any of that on our shores? I don't understand the logic....

I believe they are being disassembled for parts in Korea.

This would also be good news. I can make things happen with M1 part kits. What I really need to find is well priced Garand receivers. I have 2 BM59 kits Im dying to get built.
