m14 bando

Post by frigate gunner » Sat May 17, 2014 12:51 am

I am an avid fan of the venerable M14/M1A, having put one to good use while serving in the USN. However, gear is hard to find for mag pouches and bandoliers. I recently contacted triple stitch tactical to make me a magazine bandolier. I had been useing WW2 style BAR mag pouches, but they were mediocre at best. The rig he produced for me is FANTASTIC. He made the buckles and straps to my desires. The stitching is great and strong. I could not be happier with the product. Also, his customer service was excellent. He was fast to reply and quick on the build. A picture of the rig he built me is on his web sight under custom gear. It is the only picture with M14 mags in it (he also made me a double mag pouch). Just google triple stitch tactical, you cannot miss it. In short, if you need M14 gear or nylon gear in general Triple Stitch Tactical is the place to go!

Thank you frigate gunner for the kind words.

I call it the "DO ALL rig".

Olongapo Outfitters is a similarly small outfit that is VERY responsive to semi-custom requests. Back in the day when I was an M14 enthusiast, they made some custom mods on the mag rig for me. Great work and reasonably priced.

The problem with olongapo is he is a one man band and is sold out regularly. He does make great stuff and he is very good with shipping when he has a product. Triple stich was able to get me a M1A bando when every one else was out. I also like the elastic pull tabs Triple stitch made for me. The flaps are fine but the pull tabs are great. You could not do wrong with either bando. Triple stich's slings are top self as well.
