I just picked up a Spike's LEM4 at the Palmetto gun show. I haven't fired it yet, but the quality compared to what I've owned before (M&P15, RRA LR15 pistol) seems better to me (at least as far as fit and finish). I can't wait to get to the range!!

Spikes seems to inspire a lot of hatred on some sites, not sure why that is though. I do not own any of their products but I have handled them and they looked and felt great to me especially considering the price. Now if the chart says they're good from the manufacturing standpoint that only confirms what I have observed and I would go with them without hesitation. The only minus to me is their cheesy rollmarks but at the price point they sell at, I would get over it in an instant if I were in the market for an AR. Just my 02...

i'll second tactical machine. their manufacturing facility is top notch and they do manufacture lowers for many other companies. the attantion to detail and Q.C. is unrivaled. i have multiple spikes lowers and tactical machines (in .223 AND .308). personally all future lowers will be Tactical Machine

I have a SBR upper mounted on Spike's marked lower. It was so nice, I built a carbine for one son and have another shorty on order for other son. I used Spike's marked lowers for all three rifles. They have awesome customer service and solid products. Remember they are an assembler. They do not manufacture any of the parts but have them outsourced.
