Slick Side Armalite AR10?

Postby rick55_55 » Thu Jan 05, 2012 7:59 pm

Do they exist? Seen someone trying to sell an Armalite with a slick side upper like a DPMS. Factory built rifle or a build up? Your thoughts on the Slick sides?

Muzzle brakes displace gases to the side to assist adjacent shooters in getting the sand out of their vaginas.
If you don't like loud noises, go to a private range.

The AR10 didn't come with a forward assist option until relatively recently.

Mine works fine

If you're going for the original AR10 look, I believe someone even makes the one with the cocking handle inside (i.e. on top of the upper ) of the carry handle like the original Armalite AR10. Plenty of info and pics on this other forum.

Remember the FA was a solution for lack of cleaning gear and dirty ammo in the early days of the smaller caliber AR15/M16. Not necessary for operation in most of the rifles out there. I've used it maybe twice in the times I've fired one. I figure better to have and not need it than to need it and not have it. [smilie=pdt_xtremez_13.gif]
